#cryptobrew 0001 : Web 3.0

Hi All,

Welcome to the first issue of #cryprobrew which I plan to publish on the 15th of every month with focus on Bitcoin, Blockchain and all things crypto. I am by no means an expert in this field. This is why I do a lot of self-reading and doing. It is the only way to understand how all of this works. If you are reading this, you are essentially following my journey of journaling my understanding of them and why they matter.

The reality is that regardless of what you may think of it, crypto is the future and is here to stay. Innovation never waits for anyone. Those who do not pivot and adapt will get left behind. What always seem like a joke at first suddenly doesn’t become funny anymore. You may be laughing today at some of these foreign concepts because they sound silly, but will look back in 10 years and this will be the norm. Human beings are quite funny actually, because we seem to so easily forget the past. Back in 1994-1995, Matt Lauer, Katie Couric, Bryant Gumbel on the Today Show were confused about the purpose of the internet and even laughing at times.

I truly believe what we are witnessing in the crypto space is the foundation for Web 3.0. In my opinion:

  • Web 1.0 was the birth of the internet

  • Web 2.0 was the mobile revolution and high speed internet

  • Web 3.0 will be crypto and blockchain (decentralization, smart contracts, NFTs etc..).

Like anything new, there will be winners and losers. You just have to be able to filter through the noise and pick the right companies that will revolutionize the future.
